Our client is one of the largest asset managers in Switzerland. For their Private Equity department, they are seeking for the right hand of the head of secondary, a Senior Investment Professional, focusing predominantly on Secondary Investments and selectively on Primary and Co-investments. The role is about evaluating European Secondary Investment Opportunities as well as monitoring the existing portfolio of investments across the different programmes. In addition, there are dedicated regional coverage responsibilities to originate investment opportunities for the wider Platform. Last but not least we are seeking a real leader with team management capacity to participate in driving the flourishing business one step forward.

Responsibilities:

* Active involvement in the further successful evolution of the Secondary Platform
* Source new secondary investment opportunities through relationships with GPs and intermediaries via dedicated regional coverage responsibilities
* Investment related tasks:
– Initial review of incoming secondary investment opportunities and management of the investment pipeline
– Detailed review of investment opportunities, including financial modelling, valuation and sensitivity analysis of single asset and multi-asset investment opportunities:
– Perform research (e.g. market, industry, comparable) and drive the full due diligence process
– Prepare secondary investment proposals and manage the closing process of transactions
– Determine appropriate holding structure and other legal / tax requirements together with legal counsel

* Perform monitoring and reporting process of the investment portfolio and contribute to the development and maintenance of our secondary tools and processes while keeping a best-practice approach
* Support in client facing activities such as update calls, investor and fundraising meetings
* Coach and mentor junior investment professionals

Profile:

* University or equivalent degree in Business Administration, Economics (with major in finance), Engineering or similar
* At least 7-13 years of relevant working experience, preferably in private equity (primary fund and/or secondary investments),
* M&A, transaction services, finance, consulting
* Finance expert with strong analytical skills in financial modelling (in particular financial statement analysis), financial accounting and corporate finance
* Strong skills in MS Office (in particular Excel and PowerPoint); additional relevant IT skills would be appreciated
* English any other European language is an advantage
