This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Real estate investment analyst with experience of mezzanine lending to join this growing investment firm. Working closely with the partners you will have a key role to play and will be heavily involved in all stages of the Investment process.
The company specialises in lending to UK-based SME developers and have a separate fund for acquiring income producing assets which you will also be involved with.
Mezzanine is a niche area of the lending industry with huge potential for growth. This is an exciting time for the company who is looking to expand, having established themselves in the space with over £2bn so far in completed deals.
Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the execution of mezzanine lending transactions in the SME development space
* Support the Partners with due diligence for potential deals, and nurture relationships with existing and new development partners
* Design, amend and update models (ranging in complexity) for transactions and other business needs; run scenarios on the models and produce outputs for external and internal purposes
* Creation of transaction models based on standard templates
* Perform sensitivity and scenario analysis
* Perform formula and analytical review on the integrity of internal models
* Qualitative and Quantitative deal analysis and ad-hoc modelling
* Research and analyse new business opportunities and produce clear summaries to enable decision-making
* Production of clear and articulate marketing material such as teasers, presentations, and credit papers. This will include elements of research and information collation
Requirements:
* Prior experience in Real Estate lending across the capital structure
* Exposure to mezzanine lending
* Robust financial analysis and financial modelling skills
* Strong academic background
* Strong analytical, quantitative and verbal communication skills
* Affinity to working in a small team where you will be expected to support all aspects of the senior investment teams work
