Hedge Fund is in search of a Portfolio Accountant. Support the financial reporting and accounting functions of the firm. 3+ years of experience either coming out of another Hedge Fund, or Fund Admin, or public audit with Asset Management Experience.

Our client is an employee-owned hedge fund sponsor founded in 1996 and based in SF. It provides its services to private funds. The firm launches and manages hedge funds. The firm invests in the public equity markets across the globe. It also invests in derivatives and options. The firm primarily invests in value stocks of companies.

Responsibilities

The Portfolio Accountant will be an integral part of the accounting team, supporting the financial reporting and accounting functions of the firm. This role will also closely interact with middle office, compliance and investor relations and will liaise with external parties such as the fund administrator and auditor. This position reports to the Controller but will also work cross functionally with traders, middle office analysts, etc.

Requirements:

* 3+ years of experience either coming out of another Hedge Fund, or Fund Admin, or public audit with Asset Management Experience
* Ideally with understanding of Options, futures, swaps, derivatives
* CPA would be a plus
