A rapidly expanding boutique NYC-based hedge fund is looking to hire an Operations Manager.

The firm achieved a +35% performance in 2019 and +40% in 2020 – they recently launched their second fund. Looking to bolster their non-investment function, we are looking for an Operations Manager (reporting directly to the COO) to work with a remit that combines hands on operations responsibilities, the management of two juniors and the lead on several upcoming projects. If successful, the role has guaranteed progression to ‘Head of Operations’ in December.

The hire will own relationships both internally and externally (key service providers, fund administrators, PB’s, etc.) and you will be the ‘go-to’ person’ for the investment desk on anything relating to performance, reporting and analysis, so from day one the hire will have a close association with the CIO.

You will also lead key projects (relating to infrastructure development) connected to the new fund launch.

We are looking for candidates that have a solid hedge fund operations background, most likely with 5-10 years experience (ready to step up to Head of Operations). You should have good experience with NAV. You must have strong Excel skills. A passion for financial markets is key and this should be shown in an academic profile or interests.
