Hedge Fund is looking for a junior Python developer to work within their core research team. In this role you will work directly with some of the world’s best financial researchers and portfolio managers to develop the tools and calculators needed to build, optimize and extend their strategies and portfolios. Furthermore, you will be performing a multiyear technological rebuild, which they have deemed as critical to the continued success of the firm, by building and extending a strategy simulation engine, used to vet strategies by analyzing millions of data points in a cloud environment.

This is a great opportunity to learn the business of finance while taking the firm to the next level. In addition, this is also a great opportunity to work directly on some of the most powerful computer systems in financial technology.

Requirements:

2+ years experience as a software developer in a financial environment
Experience with Python is highly prefered, though they are open to any Object Oriented Experience
Experience with Pandas and Numpy
Knowledge of Linux, and Cloud technologies
Strong Math and Statistics capabilities
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge and interest in quantitative finance
A passion for learning
