The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for professionals with public accounting experience, particularly those coming from Big 4 or a similar top-tier firm who have worked closely with clients in private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, or broader asset management.
You will play a key role in supporting fund operations, financial reporting, and investor communications, while working closely with the finance and investment teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and review periodic fund financial statements and capital account reporting
* Assist with NAV calculations, investor allocations, and waterfall models
* Coordinate with the third-party administrators, auditors, and tax advisors
* Maintain internal records and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
* Support year-end audit and tax processes for multiple fund structures
* Assist in enhancing accounting processes, systems, and controls
* Collaborate cross-functionally with investment, legal, and operations teams
Qualifications:
* CPA or CPA-track preferred, but not required
* 2-4 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or similar), preferably in financial services
* Strong understanding of fund structures, investment partnerships, and capital flows
* Experience auditing or servicing private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, or similar
* Advanced Excel
* Strong analytical skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
* Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
