BI/ Cognos Developer

Job Summary

An experienced professional with extensive Business Intelligence development and report (IBM Cognos BI Report Studio) writing experience to support hedge fund NAV report and application development, maintenance and system monitoring for our expanding U.S. client base. Must have minimum 5 years of financial services experience.

Details

Position Responsibilities:

* Completing application development life-cycle requirements that include analysis, design, implementing, testing and deployment
* Monitoring the NAV and reporting applications and proposing viable solutions in IBM Cognos
* Supporting and independently handling internal and external client requests for the application designed
* Developing complex reports via IBM Cognos using financial data from various sources

Position Qualifications:

* Minimum 5 years of financial services experience
* Knowledge of various financial products and/or middle back office processing (ie Hedge Fund fund accounting & operations)
* Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word & Outlook)
* Minimum 5 years of IBM Cognos experience required
* Previous experience with financial report writing required
* In depth knowledge of SQL and UNIX required
* Excellent client service and problem solving skills
* Strong communication skills with various audiences (written, verbal and listening)
* Self-motivated and ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
