My client is a large investment management firm based in London, authorised and regulated by the UK Financial Services Authority.
Core Accountabilities
- Work closely with deal teams and investment operations to ensure that the investment set up and approval process is completed efficiently.
- Monitor Investment Committee decisions.
- Work across the finance team to ensure investments are regularly reviewed, correctly accounted for and steps are taken to address any issues.
- Provide technical and financial information and advice on funds to support fund-raising and other Group projects including the maintenance of the various track record models.
- Contributing to the design, development and enhancement of systems, processes and reports for both new and existing funds in order to achieve best practice targets and add value to reporting.
- Developing models to provide forward looking analysis for fund/carry distributions
- Calculating and paying distributions to the partners, including the GP’s priority profit share and supporting allocations information.
- Maintaining relevant accounting books and records for the portfolio assets, fund partnerships and related companies.
- Providing technical accounting advice for the treatment of investment portfolio transactions.
Ideal Experience and Skills
- ACA or ACCA qualified with minimum of a Degree level education (or equivalent)
- Practical experience within Private Equity or Financial Services, with some exposure to fund or partnership accounting.
- Previous practical financial accounting experience, tax returns and multi-currency transactions.
- Advanced Excel skills, with knowledge of Excel macros desirable
