As a recognized leader in providing Private Markets Solutions to clients across the globe we manage approximately $130 billion in discretionary assets and have oversight of an additional $810 billion in non-discretionary assets as of June 30, 2024.

The Opportunity

The Hamilton Lane venture capital and growth equity platform consists of approximately $120 billion of assets under management and supervision across separate accounts, comingled funds and other client relationships.

In this role, you will be responsible for setting the strategy and handling the day-to-day execution of all client-related activity across the venture capital and growth equity platform. The successful candidate will lead the client-facing functions and serve as an advisor to the investment team, advocating on behalf of clients.

Responsibilities:

* Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective venture investors. This includes, but is not limited to, leading Limited Partner communications meetings and calls to present portfolio analytics, performance results and market updates to investors and their respective Boards of Trustees
* Oversee the creation of quarterly reports, presentations, investor letters, distribution notices, portfolio analytics, private placement memorandums, pitch books, fact sheets and fundraising letters
* Work with the investment teams to develop and construct new investment programs that align market opportunities with client and prospect investment goals
* Leverage a global business development and relationship management team to increase penetration of venture and growth equity solutions across Hamilton Lane’s client and prospect community
* Develop and provide compelling quantitative and qualitative support in the pursuit of new business opportunities for new and existing clients (e.g., pricing models, portfolio return simulations, opportunity pricing, and competitive positioning)
* Oversee the coordination of materials, meetings and timelines for fundraising efforts
* Coordinate with a diverse group within Hamilton Lane across various departments, including the Investment Team, Research, Reporting, Business Development, Legal and Senior Management
* Oversee product compliance including proper documentation of processes and procedures
* Improve upon the representation of analytics, metrics, and data utilized in sales presentations to best empower the Team and business development while supporting content creation and maintenance of sales enablement tools with the RFP and marketing teams
* Lead the team in creating the firm’s materials for the Annual Investor Meeting via frequent meetings and interactions with members of investment team and senior management

Background and Skills:

* College degree (B.A., B.S. or B.B.A.)
* Advanced degree, MBA and/or CFA is preferred, but not required
* Minimum of 10-15 years of experience with significant client contact
* Venture capital, growth equity, PE experience
* Highly motivated and organized
* Detail-oriented
* Strong social and relationship building skills, with fundraising and/or client management experience
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
* Ability to collaboratively work with internal and external stakeholders
* Proactively identify challenges and offer solutions
* Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
