Job Description

We’re a fast-growing and dynamic investment firm focused on the intersection of high-net worth individuals and alternative investments, is looking for an entrepreneurial and organized Associate in its investment group.

Responsibilities:

* Analysis of investment opportunities including financial modeling, valuation and return analysis
* Market and industry research
* Due diligence on companies, management, customers, competitors and industries
* Preparation of materials for investment committee including investment memos, financial analysis, and due diligence memos
* Assist in sourcing new investment opportunities, speak with the Founder, CEOs, and senior management teams
* Attend industry conferences and other events
* Assist portfolio company operations, as appropriate

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree and demonstrated educational excellence at a university or college
* 5 years’ experience as an Analyst/Associate with a top-tier investment bank or consulting firm
* Private equity experience a plus, but not required
* Outstanding financial modeling skills
* Demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting and corporate finance
* Demonstrated ability and interest in working with a small group of investment professionals

Abilities:

* Entrepreneurial hunger and excitement about joining a fast-paced, early-stage investment firm
* Highly organized and can handle multiple projects at a time without being reminded
* Result-oriented and able to quickly complete without detailed instructions
* Articulate with strong writing and interpersonal skills
* Likes numbers, know finance, and can deploy that knowledge practically in Excel
* Strategic thinker
* Excellent writing and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
* Incredibly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team
* Desire to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment
