Launched in 2014, Direct Equity Partners (“DEP”) is a private equity investment group focused on direct co-investments. DEP employs an opportunistic mandate that is both industry and geography agnostic, and pursues a wide array of opportunities including leveraged buyouts, growth capital, and late-stage venture. Direct Equity Partners raises capital from a best-in-class set of Credit Suisse’s ultra-high net worth (UHNW) private banking clients plus the firm’s balance sheet and members of the DEP investment team. An experienced investment team based in New York oversees the investment and portfolio management process. Direct Equity Partners invests in direct private equity transactions alongside reputable and experienced financial sponsors in companies that have strong market positions, proven business models, and resilient track records. Since inception, DEP has raised ~$700 million of committed capital to invest across 27 platform investments. The DEP portfolio includes companies in the technology, media, healthcare, clean energy, consumer, financial services, and industrials and business services sectors. This position offers remote working opportunities for an agreed amount of days per week.
Your Field of Responsibility:
DEP is recruiting an analyst or associate-level investment professional who will be directly involved in all aspects of the private equity investment process including:
* Evaluating prospective deals and assisting due diligence efforts on private equity investment transactions
* Modeling and analyzing potential investments using various valuation techniques including discounted cash flow analysis, precedent transactions, comparable trading companies, leveraged buyout modeling, three-statement modeling, etc.
* Preparing and communicating documentation of investment analysis including investment memos and PowerPoint presentations to the Investment Committee and other key stakeholders
* Monitoring the performance of DEP’s portfolio of existing investments
* Supporting deal origination, business development, operations, capital raising, and marketing activities
* Working and interacting with a global Ultra-High Net Worth client base
* Participating in meetings with senior members of DEP, management teams of target companies, Credit Suisse Private Banking Relationship Managers, and clients
* Conducting ad-hoc tasks related to product reporting, market research, internal requests, and marketing efforts

* 1+ years of investment banking, consulting, or private equity experience
* Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities (highly proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
