This role will support senior team members in researching, identifying and evaluating potential venture capital investments as part of the NextEra Energy New Ventures team. Ideal candidates will have solid academic track records and experience in fast-paced finance, consulting, private equity or corporate strategy groups with top tier institutions. Candidates will need to demonstrate strength in analytical and quantitative analysis as well have strong communication skills, written as well as verbal. The ideal candidate is independent, self-motivated, a fast learner and takes ownership of their projects. Passion for technology, sustainable energy and science is highly preferred.

Overview

This role will be responsible for researching, screening, and evaluating potential venture capital investments. This position will source new opportunities and lead execution of transactions. Employees in this position conduct rigorous, independent research to evaluate potential investments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Research and evaluate potential venture capital investments
* Source new opportunities and lead execution of transactions
* Conduct rigorous, independent research to evaluate potential investments
* Network and build professional relationships
* Lead teams for due diligence
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree
* 5+ years experience

Preferred Qualifications”

* Master’s Degree in Business Administration
