Parker+Lynch is looking to fill an Assistant Controller job with a services company in the Coconut Grove, FL area. This position will be responsible for the financial reporting function and help supervise and mentor a team of staff and senior accountants. The ideal candidate will be someone with active CPA and has a private equity background. Salary range $100-$110k.

Duties:

* Complete ownership of all the financial statements (by entity, office, and department), ensuring their completeness while adhering to tight deadlines
* Oversee the general ledger team and decide the resolution to their reconciliation issues
* Provide advice to staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions
* Review and approve general ledger journal entries and inter-company transactions
* Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close
* Support budget and forecasting activities
* Develop and implement workflow process improvements
* Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures and ensure compliance
* Assist with the testing and installation of financial systems as required
* Provide generalized financial information and assistance to management

Qualifications:

* BA in Accounting or other related course of study
* CPA
* 7-10 years accounting experience
* Strong financial / analytical / modeling skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Independent worker with a team player attitude
* Strong organizational skills
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft software
