Independent European private equity firm looking for a Vice President for their Munich office.
Position
Development of investment themes and contribution to successful deal generation, including:
Leadership of research on various industry sub-sectors and potential acquisition targets
Co-ordination of deal generating activities such as industry events and management meetings
Relationship-building with industry operators
Deal-related analysis, due diligence and process management (including IC papers, advisors, debt providers)
Contribution to legal and structural aspects of deals
Assistance with general firm matters such as team events and investor meetings
Requirements
Superior academic performance – BA / BSc (or equivalent) from internationally renowned university
Minimum 2 – 3 years relevant experience in investment banking, consulting or entrepreneurial business
Supplemented by an MBA and/or 1 – 2 years in private equity
Prior exposure to asset light sub-sectors within media, technology, business & financial services or healthcare is relevant
Highly numerate, analytical and literate
Experienced with advanced Excel-based modelling
Self-starting, strongly ambitious and tenacious: willing to “go the extra mile”
Detail-oriented with “first time right” mentality
Well-developed interpersonal skills, team spirit and professional presentation
Strong at proactively developing professional networks
Fluent in English and German
