Catalyst seeks an IR professional with strong analytical and quantitative skills who can support the IR Partner on various aspects of investor relations and marketing including LP communications, relationship building, database management, fundraising and media/public relations. Candidates will need to develop a strong understanding of Catalyst and its portfolio companies to effectively assist the Partners with investor meetings, conference calls, presentations, quarterly summaries and miscellaneous projects. It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to take on greater responsibilities over time and independently cover investor meetings and calls on their own.

Candidates must be able to create a well-organized process for tracking market activity of existing and prospective LPs and competing funds in addition to managing the process for all inbound LP requests which includes managing fund and market information, and working collaboratively with internal departments including the deal team members and finance team. Candidates will work closely with the Partner, Managing Partner and Finance Director to write and manage communications to LPs about new investments and exits, capital calls, distribution letters and annual and quarterly financial reports. The IR professional will assist the Partner in coordinating the annual LP conference for more than 80 attendees, which involves developing the agenda and program content in addition to handling all aspects of event planning logistics and execution. During fundraising, this individual will work closely with the broader team and be responsible for preparing the PPM and due diligence materials, managing the data room, handling LP information requests, and coordinating on-site LP due diligence visits.

In addition to their IR responsibilities, the Candidate will be available to the Managing Partner for special projects, presentations, strategic planning and analytics. This individual will also work with the investment teams to consolidate portfolio company data for both internal review and LP reporting. Other responsibilities will include maintaining the company website, preparing marketing materials, performance updates, and LP reports. The candidate will maintain the deal flow database, and generate statistical analysis and reporting to maximize productivity.

Desired Experience

* A minimum of 2 – 4 years of experience working in investment / asset management, including private equity, fund of funds, placement agent, and hedge fund. Consultant or investment banking also considered.
* Proven analytical and quantitative skills; a solid understanding of business operating metrics, financial analysis, accounting, and valuation methodology.
* Proficiency with financial modeling; Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
* BA/BS.
* United States Citizen or work authorization.
