Job Summary

Combination of traditional middle office operations & trading assistant to provide trade and operations support for a 2.5B multi-strategy credit focused investment manager. Must have 5-10 years of buy-side operations/trade support experience with one or two asset managers. Ideal Candidate should be able to prioritize and escalate out of both their necessity and subjective nature.

Description

* Combination of traditional middle office operations & trading assistant to provide trade and operations support for a 2.5B multi-strategy credit focused investment manager
* Wide product knowledge preferred: Corporate & Government Bonds, Equities, Options & Futures, CDS & CDX, Bank Debt, Exotic OTC Derivatives, Repo, Interest
* Rate Swaps & Swaptions, Credit Options, FX, CMBS & RMBS
* Dedicated trade booking for various portfolio management teams
* Firm-wide oversight and review of all trade entry and allocations
* Running, validating, distributing and maintaining accuracy of firm-wide Daily P&L
* Monitoring & reconciling non-USD cash flows
* Responsible for the maintenance, review, accuracy of the firms multi-currency FX exposures both at the fund and trader level

Position & P&L reconciliations

* Ensure accurate and timely trade file submission to back office and futures prime broker
* Corporate actions & paper document facilitation & processing
* Various risk and attribution reporting
* Seat is located directly on the trading desk

Profile

* 5-10 years of buy-side operations/trade support experience with one or two asset managers;
* Understanding of product life cycles and how P&L is driven
* Strong academic foundation; 3.0 GPA or higher
* Microsoft Excel proficiency helpful
* Ideal candidate should possess great problem solving/trouble shooting skills
* Ideal Candidate should be able to prioritize and escalate out of both their necessity and subjective nature
* Ideal candidate should be self-motivated and is expected to take initiative and constantly be looking to be making improvements in processes and procedures
