We’re looking for a Senior Database Developer to contribute to our database operations and business intelligence development. The successful candidate will be working very closely with our business team, providing real time database and data support. This position will be responsible for database schema design and development, database troubleshooting and performance tuning, archiving data per compliance regulations, providing data analysis, developing and implementing BI solutions for reporting and decision making, and providing daily support to all CSEC desks as well as the sales teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop ad-hoc SQL and stored procedure/views and tune them to improve performance.
- Trouble shoot database related issues and provide solution to increase system reliability and availability.
- Manage and maintain DB Schemas using database modeling tools and deploy schema changes to Dev, QA and Prod environments following change control process.
- Support databases running on Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ, SQL Server and Cubes.
- Assist with development and automation of reports for the business analysis and compliance purposes.
- Manage database security and maintain data safety and integrity.
- Assist with researching new database technologies and implement them to increase productivity and efficiency of database dependent applications.
- Develop and implement BI solutions for agile and flexible reporting and data analysis requirements
- Implement and maintain database/data archiving and retention process.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience supporting MS SQL 2005, 2008, 2012 servers.
- 5+ years experience developing T-SQL.
- 2+ years experience working as Sybase DBA supporting Sybase ASE 12.5, 15.0, and 15.7.
- 1+ years experience supporting Sybase IQ 12.x, 15.X servers.
- 3+ years experience working with database monitoring tools (SQL Profile, Quest, Sybase MDA tables, PDBA etc.).
- 3+ years experience working with at least two scripting language: PowerShell, Perl, Python, Shell.
- Must have knowledge of and experience with SQL Server SSAS, SSRS and SSIS.
- Knowledge of and experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Knowledge of and experience with Perl CGI/PHP is a plus.
- Knowledge of and experience with C++/C# is a plus.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must have solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of Execution Services business and Options specific product knowledge is a plus.
