Details

The Senior Treasury Analyst in the Treasury group will be responsible for the daily reconciliation of the firm’s capital, margin requirements, and excess capital across multiple accounts. Additionally, the analyst will learn how the hedge fund finances its positions through performing the daily validation of financing accruals across accounts. Further, this individual will have the opportunity to work on special projects and perform detailed analysis for higher management to assist with determining additional sources of financing and system enhancements.

This position will provide the qualified candidate with the opportunity to expand his or her knowledge of the operations and financing activities of a hedge fund. The analyst will gain insight into the “big picture” of a hedge fund through daily interaction with firm partners, traders, Operations, Accounting, Legal and external parties. In addition, the analyst will become familiar with new and sophisticated types of financial products. The detailed analysis performed by this individual will help determine the direction of the firm’s current and future margin, financing and debit management policies.

The right candidate will have:
Required:
-A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics (Minimum GPA of 3.5); Masters preferred
-At least 3 years work experience in the financial services industry or 3 years experience in a Treasury department in a non-financial services industry
-Basic understanding of derivative instruments (swaps, puts, calls, etc.)
-Advanced Excel knowledge and ability to utilize Excel to perform analysis
-Experience with Microsoft Access
