Project Manager / IT Programme Manager (Software Projects). Gain valuable knowledge of financial trading systems at a technology driven Hedge Fund with flexible working, casual dress code and a friendly and sociable atmosphere.
As a hands-on IT Project Manager you will be responsible for managing multiple, multi-disciplinary software development projects / teams working on cutting edge investment research systems. Daily activities will encompass producing project description plans; monitoring and reporting progress against plans; working in conjunction with the business to drive completion of projects; oversight of resourcing to ensure no duplication of efforts as well as identifying opportunities for resolution of issues and management of risks. You’ll drive the use of Agile methodologies, developing a tailored approach to delivery that suits the business.
You’ll be working with exceptional software engineering and finance professionals, helping to predict the future of financial markets via world class technology, scientific and big data techniques.
Requirements:
*Experience as a Project Manager / IT Programme Manager with experience of delivering large scale software development projects
*Good working knowledge of Tableau, Visio, JIRA, Git and Confluence
*Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle (likely to come from a technical background)
*Excellent analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
*Collaborative and pragmatic
*Degree educated; 2.1 or above backed by strong A-level results
