Informa Global Markets is the global source for independent, actionable intelligence on credit, rates and foreign exchange markets. We are hiring a Technical Analyst for our North American team to provide accurate and timely technical research and trading strategies. A thorough understanding of chart analysis is required as well as a proven ability to prioritize and work under constant time pressure.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

* Utilize technical analysis to assess opportunities on a cross-section of markets
* Prepare and edit brief written updates
* Closely monitor support and resistance levels and react promptly to breaks
* Incorporate statistical analysis to generate trading and investment ideas
* Produce brief summaries of key market drivers along with graphics and tables
* Assist the sales team in responding to customer queries and utilize feedback to help maintain product quality
* Undertake client visits with the sales team as required
* Contribute ideas for future product development
* Generate trading insight and strategies in FX and Fixed Income markets based on technical and fundamental analysis
* Closely monitor support and resistance levels and react promptly to breaks
* Ensure an accurate and timely flow of reasoned opinion demonstrating close touch with markets
* Formulate and publish research reports and presentations, incorporating statistical analysis and charts
* Partner with sales to demo content and respond to client queries
* Provide flexible cover for colleagues across multiple disciplines and possibly time zones
* Contribute ideas for future product development

Preferred:

* Exceptional writing skills
* Experience working as an analyst, trader or salesperson at a bank, hedge fund, broker or research provider
* Applied proficiency with one or more programming languages (e.g. Python)
* Ability to cultivate client relationships and provide customer service
* Desire to innovate and champion change
