Director – Regional Sales

Balter Liquid Alternatives (BLA) has an immediate opportunity for a Regional Sales Director covering the West Coast to join our growing sales team. The Regional Director will be responsible for utilizing existing RIA/Consultant/Family Office relationships to effectively represent BLA and knowledgably identify client needs and confidently present products to potential investors. Candidates must live in areas ranging from Northwest to Southwest or be willing to relocate. Candidates must have existing relationships in the region.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage sales activities and existing strategic relationships to promote asset generation.
  • Seek out and develop prospective new business opportunities.
  • Represent BLA at industry conferences and events nationally.
  • Possess strong working knowledge of financial markets, including a solid understanding of liquid alternative strategies.
  • Must be able to speak intelligently about BLA products in relation to competitors and overall market.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must manage a regional budget and follow BLA’s guidelines for use of resources.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Required: 3-5 years of external wholesaling experience in RIA, Regional Broker Dealer, Bank and Consultant networks.
  • Required: FINRA Series 6 or 7 license.
  • Candidate will be expected to spend 50-70% of their time traveling within their territory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or economics.
  • MBA, CFA or CAIA designation or progress towards one of these.
