The Firm

The firm is a highly entrepreneurial fully integrated real estate investment and asset management firm. It is a platform investor and looks to build sustainable value in high barrier to entry sectors. The team has successfully invested more than $7bn of capital in European real estate assets since inception and has a proven track record of successfully identifying and acquiring high quality real estate with stable underlying cash flows and asset management upside throughout Europe. The firm is a direct investor and vertically integrated manager. It has a strong on the ground presence which enables it to build strategic, long-term value through active asset management.

The Role

  • Monthly management reporting for numerous entities and business units, covering profit and loss reporting, cash flow reconciliation and forecasting
  • Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer to implement various refinements to the current management reporting and budgeting framework, in-line with the commercial objectives of the business
  • Management of two junior accountants (one part- qualified, one recent graduate). Working closely with Group Treasurer on cash control matters
  • Management of the month-end close process, (for instance cash reconciliations, overseeing month-end journals, prepayments and accruals and formation of reporting packs)
  • Ensuring all intercompany recharges have been appropriately recorded and intercompany invoices raised, in-line with structuring and tax advice
  • Managing the accounts payable/receivable process and associated controls
  • Managing the travel and expenses approval and payment system.
  • Preparation of annual consolidated financial statements under UK GAAP and management of audit process
  • Oversight and management of preparation of all local tax filings and associated payments
  • Ad-hoc operational and project work as required

The Candidate

  • At least 5 years post-qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent Work Experience
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with management team and colleagues in other functions and other European offices
  • Flexible with willingness to take on and influence new tasks, adopting change, and interest in learning new skills
  • Experience of real estate investment management and/or family office financial control is desirable
