Position Overview
The role of the Test Analyst is to help ensure that we deliver software that exceeds the expectation of our users. This person will collaborate with developers, business analysts and project managers throughout the full development life cycle. This role is for a test analyst to not only work on manual tests across a wide range of projects, but to also manage, add to and improve the automation framework and current suite of automation tests.
The role will suit someone who is self-motivated and passionate about delivering high quality software. The candidate should be able to cope in a rapidly moving environment and be able to manage their time effectively between multiple concurrent projects under the general guidance of the Head of Test.
Responsibilities:
- Understand how to best design automated testing across application layers using UI, API, Integration and Unit tests.
- Maintaining and improving the current automation framework.
- Develop detailed test plans and scripts.
- Quick to understand complex business concepts.
- Able to multitask and deal with uncertainty, evolving requirements and time pressures.
- An immense attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Specific Experience/Technical Skills/Abilities.
- 5 years + experience in software testing including 3+ in test automation.
- The ability to build automation frameworks from scratch and being confident to manage all aspects of the framework.
- Ability to code in at least one language, preferably Java or C#.
- Experience within TFS or similar test repository tools.
- Clear understanding on methodologies including BDD, TDD, ATDD.
- Automation testing Tools similar to Cucumber-JVM, Ruby, Selenium or equivalent.
- RESTful and SOAP Web Services.
