Involved in the management and evolution of the firm’s PE consultancy offering, client delivery, hiring and people development, winning new business, as well as ensuring client satisfaction whilst also producing and issuing thought leadership. 15+ years commercial experience involving financial services and 5+ years technical compliance experience in the PE/VC space.

Details

You must be able to lead and build out a Private Equity (PE) focused practice as a distinct sub-team within the Capital Markets team. The role is varied and will involve the management and evolution of our PE consultancy offering, client delivery, hiring and people development, winning new business, as well as ensuring client satisfaction whilst also producing and issuing thought leadership.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Director of the Private Equity will be responsible for the following:
* Own and team timesheet completion, which should be updated after each task/as work is done and be complete at the end of each business day
* Reviewing junior colleagues work where required or assigned to do so, and providing timely, relevant and written feedback and advice both to improve specific work and to support that individual’s personal development
* Providing technical compliance support to the company’s clients within a range of projects and engagements across the PE/VC sector
* Maintaining relevant and appropriate records of all activities carried out in addition to updating our internal systems accordingly and in line with company procedures
* Maintaining technical knowledge in the light of changing regulations
* Overseeing all client delivery and project work relative to your area and managing client projects from end to end as they personally relate to you
* Providing ongoing input to Senior Management and or company management as requested or assigned to do so regarding improvements that can be made relative to the company’s services, processes, procedures and business generally

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the London-based Director for the Private Equity diversion vacancy for my client, will have:
* Appropriate professional qualifications are highly desirable, which might include any of ACA, ACCA, LLM, MBA and industry qualifications
* Minimum of 15 years commercial experience involving financial services and at least 5 years technical compliance experience in the PE/VC space
* 5 years client-facing experience in professional services or consulting roles
* Strong COBS, SYSC and PRU regulatory knowledge is essential
* Strong interpersonal skills – able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability as part of the day-to-day requirements of the role and clients
* Clear understanding of the commercial role of Risk Management
* Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office application (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
* Highly structured working approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities, people and deadlines
