Details

An exciting opportunity to join a growing investment fund based out of DFW. The company is in high growth mode and has a small team, so you will get exposure to full deal cycle and asset management of the acquired portfolio.

Duties:

* Financial and valuation modeling across all asset classes; the prime focus will be Commercial Real Estate although investment opportunities won’t be limited to that
* Market research, comparative analysis
* Analyze investment opportunities
* Assist in the development of additional investment targets and deal creation
* Presentation to investment committee, fund investors, and portfolio company Boards of Directors
* Participation in deal due diligence and strategic management of opportunities acquired
* Creation and review of regular cash flows, budgets, business and operating plans for fund investments
* Work with management teams, and operating partners in identifying and developing investment pipeline, also looking for refinancing opportunities
* Monitor and report on the fund’s investments
* Maintain relationships with brokers, management teams, operating partners, investors, investment bankers, lenders, consultants, etc.

Experience:

* Outstanding academic results and Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics from a leading academic institution
* 2+ years’ experience within asset management, investment banking, private equity or corporate finance
* Experience with both corporate finance and direct real estate acquisitions experience is strongly preferred
* CFA or CFA candidate would be advantageous
* Highly numerate with developed quantitative capabilities; demonstrable financial modeling and evaluation skills are critical
* Strong understanding of asset level underwriting, trading, and restructuring distressed investments
* Ability to work effectively within a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment
* Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while working on several projects in conjunction with one another
* Strong interpersonal skills and team player
* Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); exceptionally strong Excel and Argus skills are required
