Overview:

Our Client is looking for a self-motivated team player to join the Private Equity team as a portfolio analyst. As part of a team, this person will be responsible for supporting the performance analysis, reporting, and asset administration needs of the Private Equity team on a global basis. The role entails working closely with other members of the private equity team as well as other departments within the company, such as legal, risk, and accounting. Position requires a strong understanding of financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

Develop and produce reports to aid in portfolio management and performance analysis
Review quarterly/annual reports and valuations provided by external managers
Manage the cash flows of the investment vehicles
Monitor the accuracy of investment management fees, performance fees & other expenses
Provide support to the portfolio managers for special projects
Maintain Private Equity databases and processes within the team
Comply with requests from auditors, risk management & other committees
Work with internal Operations and Control groups to insure accurate investment accounting and management
Assist in monthly reconciliations of portfolio positions

Qualifications:

BA/BS required, MBA, Master’s degree or CFA designation welcome
Educational emphasis in math, computer programming, finance, or accounting favored
Minimum of 3 year’s prior experience in financial analysis; Private Equity fund administration or accounting preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Highly motivated individual with strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
Team player with great communication skills
