Are you a Senior Associate who has led teams and is now looking to move into an AVP-Asset Management role? Our client, one of the top Real Estate Investment Firms in downtown Chicago, is looking for an up and coming AVP-Asset Management to manage their client and investor relations, execute investment strategies, and prepare investment memorandum to support the firm’s strategic vision. This role as an AVP-Asset Management will allow you to manage a team, work at a Top Workplace in Chicago, and continue to expand your skillset in Real Estate Asset Management with top of the market compensation.

AVP-Asset Management Responsibilities:

Manage the relationships and execute investment strategy with existing operating partners and third-party service providers
Source and screen prospective acquisition markets and assets based on the firm’s strategic criteria including modeling out hold/sell/refinance scenarios
Assist in the presentation of the selected transactions to the Firm’s investment committee and oversee the due diligence and closing process
Attend property tours as well as analyze and monitor property level financials and debt obligations
Evaluate and recommend required capital improvement programs
Assist the Acquisitions team with any underwriting transactions and cash flow projections and your portfolio of properties
Assist in the recruiting and training of new employees
Perform and develop market analysis summaries for potential acquisition opportunities
Own your work product and having the ability to manage a team and build your client interaction with top investors

AVP-Asset Management Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, or business-related degree
MUST HAVE a minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar Asset Management capacity, with at least 2 years in a management role
Advanced Excel skills and ability to understand, analyze, and interpret financial information in varying formats
Proficient in Excel and/or Argus modeling tools
