Our client, a global leader in the Private Equity field, is looking for a Financial Analyst to join its Financial Reporting Group here in New York City.

Responsibilities:

* The Financial Analyst will primarily be responsible for financial analysis, account and performance analyses, as well as handling investor, management and regulatory reporting. As the division continues to grow, there is also the opportunity for advancement.

Additional Responsibilities include:

* Working on ad-hoc projects to assist with new fund vehicle launches.

* Contributing to the re-engineering and implementation processes, as well as assisting with the testing and integration of new software.

* This is an excellent opportunity to learn about complex fund structures and investor transactions.

* Successful candidates will have between one and two years of experience in public accounting or in an accounting or reporting function at a hedge fund, investment manager, or other financial services firm.

Requirements:

Candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and organized with an aptitude for accounting and a facility with numbers. A major or concentration in accounting is a prerequisite. CPA is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an analytical approach to problem-solving required.
