Goldman Sachs Principal Investments, the private equity wing of the Goldman Sachs firm, was founded in 1986, and manages over $32.8 billion worth of co-investments, primary commitments, and secondary market investments. Private equity products are provided by many areas of Goldman Sachs.

The Goldman Sachs Private Equity Group provides liquidity and capital solutions, and invests in private equity funds and co-invests in direct investments. The Goldman Sachs Infrastructure Investment Group manages the GS Infrastructure Partners funds, which are dedicated to direct investments in infrastructure.

GS Capital Partners manages Goldman Sachs investments in corporate equity. The Real Estate Principal Investment Area provides investment in opportunistic global real estate funds. GS Mezzanine Partners and GS Loan Partners manage mezzanine funds and funds dedicated to senior secured loan assets respectively, and the Technology Principal Investment Area invests in a variety of innovative technology and technology-driven companies.
