Position Overview
StepStone Group, a leader across private market solutions across Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate, and Infrastructure is seeking an Associate to support a Territory Manager with institutional capital raising and consultant relationships. The position will be tasked with helping to grow the firm’s investor and asset base across all southern states.
Essential Job Functions:
The US Business Development role has a number of essential functions which include but are limited to:
* Support the territory manager in covering direct LPs relationships and consultants in the assigned territory
* Effectively assist in coverage across several states, maintaining a high level of engagement with prospective clients
* Assist in building qualified pipelines of institutional investors to execute campaigns and roadshows
* Respond to existing client inquires in a timely manner
* Meet annual KPIs and contribute to territory success
* Maintain and track outreach activity in the firm’s CRM software (Salesforce)
* Attend regular internal meetings and strategy educations sessions
* Meet monthly with the Global Business Development Coordinator to review activity, pipeline and progress
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree
* 3+ years of sales experience
* Private markets experience
* Salesforce experience is a plus
* Institutional client engagement in the US south (i.e. FL, TX, AL, SC)
