JustinBradley’s client, an international private equity firm, is looking to add a Fund Controller to their growing Washington DC office. With over 300 portfolio companies around the world, our client invests in energy projects, and this is an opportunity to join one of their growing funds in their dynamic headquarters. Officially titled Credit Fund Controller, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Credit Loan Administration and financial reporting for the Credit Strategy Group. Furthermore, this individual must have the communication skills needed to interact with international investors, various levels of management, and their team of Fund Accountants.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting process;
  • Preparing periodic debt agreement covenant reports;
  • Creating accounting position/technical research papers;
  • Overseeing data flow, capital calls, distributions, payments, and investment fundings;
  • Fostering day to day interaction with multiple outsourced back office functions;
  • Supporting the Accounting and Finance team in creating and sustaining the group’s system of internal controls processes and procedures.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • A well-qualified candidate will possess the following:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field;
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required;
  • Public Accounting experience is heavily preferred;
  • At least 5 years of financial services accounting and reporting;
  • At least 2 years in a managerial role.
