The Assistant Controller will work closely with the Controller on management reporting, investor reporting, month-end close, account analysis, reconciliations, payables, and receivables.

Responsibilities:

* Ownership of the day-to-day accounting and reporting activities at the firm
* Close the books at month-end
* Prepare the monthly financial reporting package for the partners
* Maintain the QuickBooks General Ledgers of multiple investment companies
* Prepare balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
* Prepare journal entries as needed
* Work closely with the Fund Administrators including answering questions and reviewing the monthly, quarterly, and annual Fund financial statements
* Support the annual external audits of the financial statements, including any required schedules and responding to auditor questions/requests and drafting the footnotes
* Prepare/review the quarterly/annual investor reports/letters for each Fund and related Portfolio Companies
* Prepare capital call analyses and distribution payment notices to the investors
* Answer investor inquiries regarding capital calls, distributions, and ad-hoc requests
* Assist with monthly forecasts and annual budgets
* Keep the Boyne-related legal entities in compliance and maintain the relationship with the third party registered agent
* Prepare year-end financial schedules/reports to send to various tax return preparers
* Review and tie out annual tax returns to the financial statements
* Maintain the firm’s Investor Portal and contact database for investors
* Set up and manage various policies and procedures for the firm

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
* Active CPA license is strongly preferred, with 3+ years of applied work experience
* Strong knowledge of GAAP
* Experience implementing new systems and processes
* Tax and partnership accounting experience is preferred
* Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred
* Strong work ethic/integrity and excellent attitude
* Above-average pace of work while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
* Self-disciplined with a strong commitment to producing high quality work
* Effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Private equity experience is highly valued
