The Associate position is designed for candidates with between two and four years of experience at a leading investment bank, buy-side, or consulting/transaction advisory firm who are seeking opportunities in private equity investing. The position has an initial term of two to three years with the potential for advancement based on performance.
Job Requirements and Description
Candidates must have excellent financial analysis, financial modeling, writing and verbal skills and possess a high level of self-motivation. A financial modeling and writing exercise will be required as part of the hiring process.
Individuals must function as an integral part of a close-knit group of investment professionals, taking the lead in financial modeling and industry research and playing a key role in the formulation of investment memoranda, underlying analysis, and investment decisions.
The candidate will also assist senior professionals in structuring and negotiating prospective investments in target companies.
Associates will have exposure to all levels of the fund’s management, target company management and the legal, accounting, and other professionals assisting the fund with its investment efforts.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Two to five years prior experience in investment banking or private equity
Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and similar software
Strong analytical, research and quantitative skills
Solid academic background with exposure to finance, accounting, and economics
Financial modeling and company valuation work is required
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere
