Job Summary
The Senior Analyst/Manager will have a diverse role utilizing and deploying ‘best practices’ in valuation, pricing and analysis and will be a key utility player who can pivot between projects and remain effective at multi-tasking. This position will also offer a good opportunity for advancement.
Summary of essential job functions
- Valuation and pricing of numerous investments in portfolio companies from a commercial credit and financial perspective (small to mid-size operating companies); including monitoring financial performance and covenant compliance;
- Utilizing traditional valuation methodologies including discounted cash flow, comparable public companies and comparable transactions;
- Assist in overall management of quarterly portfolio valuation process, including working with internal and external auditors, ACAS deal teams and internal accounting department;
- Assist in developing reports used for financial reporting purposes;
- Assist, as needed, with review of 3rd party financial/accounting due diligence);
- Plan and coordinate the financial reporting and compliance components of the external audit;
- Build relationships with leadership throughout the organization to cultivate an environment where employees respect and adhere to company policies and procedures and standards of integrity and ethics.
Minimum requirements
- Total experience of 4 6 years, including:
- At least 1 – 2 years of valuation or pricing experience of commercial credit (senior debt, 2nd Lien, Mezzanine) of privately held companies
- Public accounting experience or commercial credit underwriting/monitoring
- Buy-side financial/accounting Transaction Advisory Service (TAS) experience in Big 4 or other large financial advisory firm;
- Accounting or Finance Degree;
- Strong IT aptitude, advanced excel skills (Hyperion Planning experience helpful);
- Successful candidates must have strong analytical skills and fastidious attention to detail;
