The Senior Analyst/Associate supports all aspects of the investment process and management of the fund. You will be joining a group of seasoned investment professionals with broad experience across private debt and equity asset classes, and will work closely with all team members in a flat organizational structure.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct industry and company-specific strategic and financial research, as well as competitive and valuation analyses
- Develop and prepare financial models (LBO, forecast, M&A, credit, etc.)
- Support all aspects of the due diligence process in evaluating new and existing investments
- Preparation of investment memoranda, management/investor presentations, and all other materials required in the investment, fundraising, and fund management processes
- Support the ongoing valuation and management of both the financial and operational aspects of portfolio investments, as well as the regular reporting to and investment partners
- Liaise with external third parties, including lawyers, accountants, consultants, and bankers
- Develop relationships with existing and potential clients and other deal partners
- Complete additional ad hoc projects as requested
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in investment banking, transaction advisory/diligence, or other applicable investment setting
- Undergraduate degree from a leading institution and a track record of high academic achievement
- Strong fundamental understanding of financial modeling, private company valuation, and financial statement analysis (work samples will be requested)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and other common programs
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to independently produce polished investment memoranda, presentations, and models
- Ability to multitask in a fluid, decentralized environment
- Well developed interpersonal skills
