A fast growing Venture Capital firm is seeking a dynamic accountant to join their team. They are expanding their accounting/finance team. This role offers the opportunity to will work side by side with the Controller/Chief Compliance Offer as well as Partner of the Investment Team.
Over the past year, their needs have expanded as they have added new entities to their portfolio. As a result, they are looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves and provide assistance with the accounting and finance functions for their venture capital funds and two portfolio companies as their finances are done in-house.
Your primary responsibilities in this role will center on the day-to-day accounting functions and assisting with various operational needs. It also offers the chance to work with the investment team and partner meetings.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of professional experience with an accounting or finance background, within the venture capital or private equity industry. A Bachelors degree in finance or accounting and a CPA are highly preferred. Previous experience with cap tables, capital calls, distributions, GP & carry entity accounting/allocations would be a HUGE plus.
