Portfolio Analyst

You will be reporting to the Senior Portfolio Manager as part of the firm’s Asia regional team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support investment closing activities such as tax structuring, review of legal documents and liaising with external advisors with a focus on Japanese investments.
  • Participate in regular portfolio reviews and monitor portfolio and asset level performance on a monthly basis, which includes maintaining regular communication with Asset Managers.
  • Monitor Asset Managers’ compliance including performance covenants, cash flow projections and financial reporting.
  • Review monthly remittance reports and approve cash-flow distributions for each investment.
  • Assist in the fair valuation review of the Asia portfolio on a quarterly basis.
  • Perform due diligence/Asset Manager Audits to review operational processes and controls.
  • Review and work in collaboration with accounting teams based in Singapore/Europe to ensure that the financial statements of investment entities are prepared according to relevant accounting principles.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years PQE experience with exposure to the financial services industry – preferably a Big Four background
  • Experienced and confident communicator (both oral and written) with strong relationship skills.
  • High quality standards; meets deadlines and meets qualitative and quantitative expectations
  • Inquisitive; always seeking to learn, and strong problem solving skills
  • Pro-active and willing to take responsibility
  • Adaptable and decisive – adapts to and focuses on priorities at hand

  • Language requirement in Japanese is highly preferable as responsibilities will include a key focus on the Japan market.
