My client, a boutique Private Capital Fund Manager set up in 2011, currently has a unique vacancy for a newly qualified accountant with a Fund Administration or in house background to join their specialist finance team. Working closely with the investment team and reporting directly to the FD you will be their first hire in finance and enjoy a versatile and broad ranging role.
Given the significant growth and the evolving finance function, this will be a multi faceted role requiring the individual to be involved across all areas of finance at both the LLP and fund entity level including core finance, fund accounting and operations, systems and controls, portfolio administration, risk and KPI reporting and statutory account review.
Core Responsibilities
Portfolio accounting, administration, valuations, and reconciliation.
Liquidity management across both Fund I and Fund II.
Responsible for co-ordinating and managing the relationship with the fund administrators.
Working with the Finance Director on a range of ad-hoc projects including Portfolio Risk Reporting, Liquidity Reporting, KPI reporting, portfolio management systems selection and integration across the portfolio companies.
Playing a key role in liaising with external Fund administrators , corporate banks, auditors etc.
Requirements
Qualified accountant – with specific experience in a fund adminitration business
Familiar with LuxCo Fund GP/LP structures
Familiarity with Private Equity Asset Class – highly desirable
Strong Excel
Due to the extent of shadow accounting and co-ordination with the firms Fund Administrators candidates with a experience in a Fund Accounting role from within an administration/fund servicing business is highly desirable.
