Financial Analyst – M&A

Mergers & Acquisitions Financial Analyst needed for growing company in the Ft. Lauderdale area. This position will be involved with modeling, scenario planning, valuation analysis and corporate strategic analysis.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare presentations of analysis / projects for executive management boards
  • Support Finance Treasury on ad-hoc projects related to company’s capital structure
  • Support M&A execution and assisting business units in early-stage screening of inorganic opportunities
  • Financial analysis and modelling
  • Profiling acquisition targets and other related companies
  • Support business functions during due diligence phases
  • Build and manage financial projections driven by well-supported assumptions
  • Develop company valuations using numerous methodologies including discounted cash flow, trading comparable and precedent transactions
  • Ability to develop financial models in order to evaluate the return of ongoing operations and special projects
  • In-depth financial and investment analysis skills with a thorough understanding of financial modelling
  • Track industry news, and from that identify potential opportunities for M&A leads to pursue

Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree (MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in a finance-related position;
  • 2+ years of experience in a Senior Analyst role in a private equity, venture capital or investment banking industry.
  • Valuation expertise preferable; knowledge of transaction structures and contracts, and knowledge of / interest in capital markets.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Spanish or Portuguese a plus
