The Company
This American based Private Equity firm based in the heart of the CBD has been in operation for 25 years and has over $3billion in funds under management. A role is available for a qualified Financial Accountant to join their close-knit finance team on a permanent basis and take controllership of month end and management reporting for the Australian entity.
The Role
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, as the Financial Accountant you will be working in a finance team of three and managing the financial accounting for the Australian entity. You will be responsible for:
Financial Accounting:
- Managing month end close (journal entries, monthly reconciliations, producing the balance sheet and monthly management reporting)
- Preparation of BAS, FBR and payroll tax
- Managing accounts payable, expenses, AMEXX administration and foreign currency advances
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Treasury management
- Invoicing and payroll administration
You will also have the opportunity as you develop within the role to get involved in investment reporting and investment analysis.
Your Profile
As the successful Financial Accountant you will be CA/CPA qualified and have similar experience in a previous position. You enjoy working in a broad role and as an integral part of a small finance team. You are self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude to your work.
