Our client is a major European private equity firm. Established over 20 years ago, they have established themselves as a pre-eminent mid-market investor, taking control positions in a diverse range of companies. They are now fund raising, and are looking to add two associates to their London team. The roles will work on the origination and execution of investments for the fund. The successful candidate will play a key role within the investment team, involved in all aspects of the investment process. Major areas of responsibility will include: Managing the financial analysis aspects of transactions Building valuation models utilising LBO and project finance techniques Managing due diligence processes Managing the financing process for new and existing investments Preparing internal Investment Committee papers and making recommendations to senior partners Working with portfolio company management and co-investment partners on commercial and strategic matters, financial analysis, monitoring performance of portfolio companies, including the preparation of quarterly valuations and presentations for various stakeholders The successful candidate will have a background as follows: Experience in a top tier investment bank or PE fund Strong academic track record Excellent quantitative and analytical skills Strong organisational skills Good communication skills Team player Ability to build long term relationships
