Strattam Capital (offices in San Francisco, CA and Austin, TX) is seeking to add a pre-MBA Associate to our team. Strattam Capital is a private equity firm that takes an innovative and focused approach to investing in high-potential companies within the business information technology market. Our entrepreneurial-minded team applies our operational engagement strategy to deliver a better future for our companies. Strattam Capital is investing out of its first fund and has completed 9 deals (4 platform investments and 5 add-on investments) since our founding in 2014. Strattam’s team has decades of technology and private equity experience from world-class private equity firms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Associate will assist in all aspects of the firm’s activities, including transaction screening, due diligence and execution of new investment opportunities, operational engagement with existing portfolio companies and investor relations, with specific responsibilities including:

* Screening and evaluation of new investment ideas
* Completing due diligence on companies, management, customers, competitors and markets
* Preparing valuation analyses and financial models for investment opportunities
* Assisting in the writing of internal investment committee memos
* Managing the investor and company database
* Assisting in the preparation of materials for fund marketing, ad hoc reporting to limited partners, and quarterly investor letter
* Engaging with portfolio companies on specific operational initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:

Strattam is a lean team, requiring Associates to be extremely proactive within the firm. Hustle and grit are a must. Potential candidates should possess the following:

* 1-3 years of investment banking, investment management, corporate development or private equity experience
* Exceptional analytical skills and mastery of three statement leveraged buyout modeling
* Ability to research and synthesize industry data, metrics and reports
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Top-tier academic background
* Experience in Technology is preferred, but not a requirement
* Live deal M&A execution experience is preferred, but not a requirement
* Experience working regularly in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Salesforce.com
* Ability to travel
