Based in Sydney’s CBD, this opportunity sits within a lean, high-calibre finance team and offers broad exposure across fund accounting, corporate reporting, tax compliance, investor relations, and transactions.
This is a key role that would suit a technically strong and commercially astute accountant, looking to deepen their experience in private equity or investment management.
The Challenge:
Reporting directly to the Fund Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts and board reports across multiple entities
* Oversight of BAS, tax returns, and all ATO compliance matters
* Supporting investor reporting, liaising with stakeholders and responding to queries
* Overseeing treasury functions
* Liaising with the external tax, legal, and audit advisors
* Contributing to structuring advice and financial due diligence for new transactions
* Maintaining and improving internal controls, processes, and alignment with legal and accounting requirements
The Expertise:
You should consider applying if you have:
* CA qualification and 3-5 years’ experience in chartered (Big 4 or mid-tier)
* Relevant client experience may include real estate groups, funds management or unit pricing
* Understanding of fund structures and investor reporting
* Commercial acumen, attention to detail, and a proactive approach
* Excellent communication skills and comfort dealing with senior stakeholders
