Our client is an established private equity firm based in Milwaukee investing in control-oriented buyouts of founder- and family-owned businesses and corporate carve-outs. The firm partners closely with the management teams to execute strategic initiatives and scale portfolio companies through operational improvement and add-on acquisitions.

The firm is seeking a high-caliber Associate to support the investment team through the full deal lifecycle: screening, diligence, execution, and portfolio support.

Responsibilities:

* Evaluate new investment opportunities and develop investment theses
* Build and maintain LBO and operating models (returns, sensitivities, financing cases)
* Coordinate due diligence with third-party providers (QoE, tax, legal, commercial, insurance, etc.)
* Prepare investment committee materials and internal memos
* Support transaction execution (LOI → close), including financing process support
* Assist with portfolio initiatives: KPI tracking, board materials, add-on M&A support

Candidate Profile:

* 1–3 years of investment banking (M&A / LevFin / Industrials / Business Services) and/or corporate development with deal ownership
* Strong financial modeling, valuation, and transaction process understanding
* Strong judgment, executive communication, and ability to work in a lean team

Preferred
* Exposure to LMM sponsor buyouts
* Sector interest in packaging, manufacturing/industrial, engineered products, or business services
* Strong work ethic, low ego, high accountability
