* Senior Valuation Analyst — Venture Capital Fund
A leading venture capital investment firm is seeking a Senior Valuation Analyst to join its Finance & Operations team. This role is perfect for a detail‑driven, analytical professional with strong expertise in valuation, fund operations, and venture capital financial reporting.
You will be central to the quarterly fair‑value process, fund accounting support, audit preparation, and investor reporting for a diverse and growing VC portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Valuations (Quarterly ASC 820 Compliance)
* Prepare and document quarterly valuation analyses using established venture capital valuation methodologies
* Assess and validate key assumptions using company‑specific, legal, and market‑based inputs
* Present valuation findings, support, and methodologies to auditors, valuation committees, and firm partners
Fund Operations & Financial Reporting
* Support the quarterly close process, including review of financial statements and partner capital statements
* Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual audited financials
* Review capital call and distribution allocations for accuracy and compliance
Venture Capital Fund Support
* Review fund and transaction documents to ensure accurate financial and valuation reporting
* Maintain and improve valuation models for Level 3 investments
* Collaborate with the portfolio company management teams to gather financial and qualitative inputs
General Finance, Operations & Compliance
* Support investor communications and updates through the investor portal
* Assist with capital call and distribution processes and broader operational workflows
* Contribute to materials for annual meetings and advisory committee sessions
* Partner with Compliance leadership on documentation, DDQs, controls, and SEC audit readiness
Qualifications:
* 3–6+ years of experience in valuation, venture capital, private equity, or transaction advisory
* Strong knowledge of ASC 820, fair‑value principles, and valuation methodologies
* Advanced Excel proficiency, with the ability to build and maintain complex financial models
* Experience with fund accounting and capital account statements preferred
