About Our Client

They are focused on founder and family-owned businesses with transitions in ownership.

About the Role

As an Investment Associate you will be joining a small but mighty team of investment professionals and will work closely with the partners to help support and execute transactions from start to finish and manage portfolio companies.

Candidates must excel in a small, tight-knit team environment while being entrepreneurially oriented and capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy, with support and mentorship from the senior investment professionals.

The firm was founded in 2017 and continues to have the spirit of a young, dynamic firm. As such, you will have the opportunity to proactively contribute to and shape your role, career path, and team, while having an active seat at the table. This is an entrepreneurial role with significant runway for candidates who want to truly empower their career and take a proactive, hands-on role in building the firm.

Responsibilities:

As the new Associate you’ll be charged with:
* Supporting all aspects of the fund’s investment process and portfolio company management including evaluating new investment opportunities through extensive financial and industry due diligence, financial modelling, preparing investment review memoranda, supporting origination activities, monitoring portfolio company financial and operating performance, and working closely with sponsors, investment banks, and other third parties relevant to transaction underwriting
* Helping to create structures and processes that will help the firm’s operations scale and grow

Requirements:

You’ll be set up for success if you have:
* 2-3 years of solid experience from investment banking, private equity, or management consulting
* Robust technical chops (strong modeling and financial analysis) because within 30 days you will be expected to utilize their model on a deal and write a strong deal summary/memo
* Knowledge of all aspects of M&A transactions, including transaction management, financial and valuation analysis (LBO, DCF, Operating Models), documentation, due diligence, and negotiations
* Acute attention to detail and and/or project management skills – managing more than one transaction or initiative simultaneously is no sweat
* Drive, hunger, and initiative to take the lead, learn, and work with very little oversight
* Professional, fun, and friendly personality with a “no task is too big or too small” attitude
* Desire to work in a small team environment

Why Is This a Rockstar Opportunity?

* Women-led investment firm
* Small, tight-knit team of investment professionals
* High-caliber leadership team
* Upward mobility and long-term career prospects
* Highly entrepreneurial role – you will grow your role as the firm grows
