I am currently recruiting for a leading alternative investment firm who specialise in Private Equity / real assets / private debt. The purpose of this position is to carry out routine day-to-day accounting of complex fund structures under the direction of a Finance Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a diverse range of funds, management companies, and associated structures, while liaising with the clients and intermediaries
* Handle all accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures, including preparing, reconciling, and proofing investor reports, statutory financial statements, and responding to ad-hoc investor queries
* Address routine audit queries efficiently
* Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation for transactions
* Maintain accurate records using systems and Microsoft Excel for all accounting aspects
* Prepare and reconcile periodic direct and indirect tax returns
* Act as a mentor to the junior staff under the guidance of the senior team members
What We Are Looking For:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
* Ideally pursuing a relevant professional qualification (preferably ACCA Professional level or ACA Advanced level)
* 3-5 years of experience as a Fund Accountant
* Strong understanding of financial services, supported by ongoing training
* Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering close working relationships with colleagues and clients
