To expand our team in Zurich, we are looking for an ambitious talent for the position as a Senior Valuation Specialist.
Responsibilities:
* Perform financial analysis and valuations of our portfolio holdings across the verticals – Buyout, Growth and Venture Capital – for monthly and quarterly valuation cycles
* Assist in the development of technology-enabled analytics and reporting tools to streamline valuation analyses
* Support special projects within your area of responsibility as they relate to valuation tools, procedures and investment insights & monitoring
* Interact with various internal and external parties, in particular investment management, general partners, pricing committees, third party valuation firms, auditors and regulators
Required Profile:
* Degree in a relevant discipline such as Business, Finance or Accounting (CFA charter holder or working towards a similar designation is a plus)
* At least 3 years working experience in the financial industry (ideally gained in the area of valuation, Private Equity audit, or other related M&A advisory roles)
* Proven valuation experience & familiarity with the principles and methodologies used in illiquid assets valuation
* Strong analytical skills and a flair for scrutinizing financial figures
* Good understanding of Private Equity as an asset class
* Strong quantitative and Excel skills (knowledge of a programming language such as VBA/Python would be a plus)
* Experience in working with colleagues and stakeholders globally and sensitivity to cultural differences, time zones, etc.
* Excellent command of the German and English language, both written and spoken
