Our client is a multi-billion Private Debt and Equity firm with a focus on European small to mid-cap special opportunities seeking an Associate to join the investment team for the Geneva office.
Responsibilities:
Interacting on a daily basis with senior partners and team members, responsibilities will include:
* Sourcing and evaluation of investment opportunities
* Conducting due diligence on potential investments, producing quantitative and qualitative analysis to support underwriting efforts
* Proactively sourcing and identifying relationships as well as potential investment opportunities
* Undertaking economic and market research to further the investment thesis
* Execution of investments
* Working with the investment team on an in-depth basis to prepare formal investment analyses and memos to support the recommendation to the investment committee
* Supporting the team in the negotiation / structuring, closing and funding of transactions
* Investment monitoring
* Monitoring the portfolio of investments, producing analyses and supporting counterparties in delivering returns
* Fundraising
* Preparation of marketing materials in support of fundraising efforts
Requirements:
* University degree with excellent academic track record
* At least 2-3 years in Investment Banking, Real Estate or Private Equity investments
* Proven strong analytical, quantitative and financial modelling skills
* Fluency in English a requirement. Native speaker in another European language a preference
