The Search
Altus Partners is delighted to be partnering with a growing investment platform that is looking to build their equity and credit investment portfolio in sustainable/impact investments. They have recently met Article 9 standards and have an opportunity to build across Europe. With a successful track record, they are looking to increase the deal team with a senior hire – with a bias towards deal origination and execution. The individual will also be involved in fundraising.
The Role:
Your role will include, but by no means be limited to, the following:
* Identifying and sourcing new investment opportunities across the UK and then on into Europe
* Researching into potential targets for direct approaches through existing relationships/networks and new business
* Managing the workstreams from start to finish across the full deal process
* Liaising with key stakeholders, external consultants, lawyers and auditors
* Being fully up-to-date on all aspects of the legal documentation and agreements, as well as communicating this information in an accessible format to relevant stakeholders
* Working alongside the existing internal team in supporting portfolio operations when needed
* Taking an active approach in the evaluation of potential exit opportunities
* Taking a leadership position in the due diligence preparation and legal documentation
* Having an active involvement in the day-to-day operations of the firm
Requirements:
* Significant UK and European deal experience from either a corporate or Private Equity fund
* Background in making investments in sustainable/impact companies
* Experience sitting as a board observer to several companies
* Strong analytical skillset as well as the commercial acumen to back this up
